24 August 2014 – SCULPTURAL LIFE COURSE AT the Hornbeam Cafe: STUDENTS’ ARTWORK


On Sunday 24 August, I ran a taster teaching course and we worked in an upstairs room, after looking at these slides.

Developed from my July Harnham course here, eight assiduous artists worked hard and fast with masking tape, having to invent a way of making sense of Richard the model, as he pressed himself against the wall, to evoke the Parthenon friezes in the British Museum:

and the intensity increased as the students had to cover a black piece of paper with white chalk and incise, carve, draw and shade into it with an eraser …..
